When Silver Bluff Brewing opened its doors in 2020, it instantly became the center of downtown Brunswick. We love stepping inside, often lured by local music, grabbing a beer and meeting up with friends or making new ones over a game of cornhole. There’s a cozy feeling inside or out that just makes you feel like you are welcome. This place was built for community. You can rub shoulders with families, tattooed men and women, athletes, artists, retirees and even well-behaved dogs. It really is the heart and soul of downtown.
Award-Winning Beer
Silver Bluff isn’t just friendly and community-oriented, they’re serious about their craft. Over the past few years, they’ve earned medals in four of the most respected beer competitions: the U.S. Open Beer Championship, the Great American Beer Festival, the World Beer Cup, and the Brewskis.
Some highlights:
- River Delta Czech Pils: Silver medal at the 2024 Great American Beer Festival in the Bohemian-Style Pilsener category.
- Braunschweiger Weizenbock: Earned silver at the 2025 U.S. Open Beer Championship (and a bronze the year before) in the South German Weizenbock/Weissbock category.
- Mexican Lager: My favorite and a consistent standout—silver medal at the World Beer Cup for its International Style Pilsner, and twice named Beer of the Year by the Brewskis (2023 and 2024).
To have your beers repeatedly recognized on both national and international stages is no small feat—and it speaks to the devotion behind every batch they brew.
Also worth noting: Silver Bluff has been a Best of Georgia winner five years in a row (as of 2024), thanks to votes from locals and fans alike.
They usually have a great list of special releases – my favorite of which is the Peach Golden Ale. Oh man that’s good! For the kids there are plenty of seltzers and lemonades and even frozen non-alcoholic drinks.
They have a ton of events including regular live music, Octoberfest and my personal favorite, the St. Patty’s Day 5K Beer Run (yes, it is just what it sounds like – running and beer – what could go wrong??).
