Like any good coffee and book store you’ll find this one when it feels like you’re walking down an alley. Grant Street runs parallel to Newcastle in beautiful downtown Brunswick, and you can just follow your nose until you see the chalk sandwich board. Spiral Wanderers describes itself as a metaphysical coffee bar and book shop supporting all paths of love and light with supplies and tools to magnify your intentions and help you manifest your dreams into reality as well as items to fuel your creativity and delight you with whimsy. Indeed. We filmed one of our first episodes here. We came for the coffee and oh man is it good.
The coffee is Dancing Goats out of Atlanta and it is far and away some of my favorite coffee served up in the Golden Isles: bold, deep, rich flavor that lets you know who’s boss. They also serve up tea from our very favorite local tea company, Biron Teas. And come hungry because you are definitely going to want an Earl Grey scone from Newcastle Bakery. This place is a very comfortable chill spot where you can just chat on the couch for a while or share a treat with your best furry friend at a table out front. They have jigsaw puzzles that always need working on and books that need reading. It’s a home away from home with activities like the twice weekly Dungeons and Dragons night, the regular Friday night Tea and Tarot and so much more.
