If you’re searching for authentic Thai food in Brunswick, Georgia, put Nakorn Thai Cuisine at the very top of your list. Feeling a little peckish near I-95 one day, we decided to try Nakorn on some friends’ recommendation. Pulling up to the outside, we were a little underwhelmed. The exterior has seen better days, and honestly, after seeing things stacked in the hallway, I was getting downright nervous. Had our friends steered us wrong?

Well our waitress was incredibly welcoming, attentive and friendly, and the very moment the food arrived, we were put at ease. On tasting dish after dish, we were actually blown away!

A Standout Start: Appetizer Sampler

To begin, we ordered the Appetizer Sampler, and it set the tone for the entire meal. The platter included spring rolls, potstickers, crab rangoon, steamed dumplings, and calamari. Everything was delicious, but the steamed dumplings stole the show for me. A dumpling lover at heart, I found the dumplings to be tender, flavorful, and unforgettable. Honestly, I can’t wait to go back just for those.

Look at that adorable duck plate!

For our main courses, we couldn’t have chosen better. I ordered the Drunken Noodles with beef, while Paul opted for the Panang Curry with tofu, one of Nakorn’s most popular dishes.

Both entrees arrived with thoughtful extras: a comforting bowl of chicken and rice soup in a rich, savory broth, along with a mini spring roll. It’s these little details that elevate the entire dining experience.

My drunken noodles were tossed in the most delicious sauce and loaded with fresh vegetables, including baby corn, bell peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, snow peas, and fragrant Thai basil. The flavors were bold, balanced, and deeply satisfying. Just writing about it makes my mouth water.

Paul’s Panang Curry was everything it should be: creamy, gently spicy, and full of depth. Even the presentation was charming, served in a fish-shaped bowl, with the steamed rice shaped like a heart. It’s no wonder this dish is a favorite among Thai curry fans in Brunswick, GA.

Another highlight is Nakorn Thai Cuisine’s versatility. They offer plenty of vegetarian options, kid-friendly meals, and a menu that appeals to both adventurous eaters and those who prefer classic Thai favorites like Pad Thai, Pad Ginger, and noodle dishes.

Save Room for Dessert! We Didn’t 🙁

Sadly, we didn’t save room for dessert this visit. The Thai donuts, crunchy banana coins, and sweet sticky rice with ice cream are all calling my name. Trust me, plan ahead and leave space.

For added convenience, Nakorn also offers online ordering for takeout and delivery, so you can enjoy their incredible Thai food wherever you are.

This entire visit was an incredible surprise, and we’re genuinely glad we made the trip. Nakorn is a family owned business that honestly just feels like home, and Grandma knows how to cook! We’ll definitely be back, and next time, we’ll save room for dessert.
