When I first walked into Broomelli Boys Pizzeria with the my show hosts, the smell of fresh dough and roasted garlic in a fiery brick oven smacked me with delirious delight. You know that scent. You can smell it now! Authentic, homemade, fresh pizza in the oven. That’s exactly the vibe at Broomelli Boys on top of being hip, cool and incredibly friendly.
Owner Cheston Broomell started this place back in 2006 with his dad (the “boys” in Broomelli Boys). The building was brand new at the time, and they were literally the first tenants, pouring their own concrete and building from the ground up. Chester told us he came up from Florida, where he learned the trade in small pizzerias, and decided to take a chance in Brunswick when his father, a photographer by profession, wanted a fresh start. Nearly 20 years later, they’re still in the same spot, serving up the same classic, handmade pies that built their reputation.
Each pizza is it’s own work of art. Here they have embraced creativity with a rotating “secret menu” dreamed up by staff. That’s where you’ll find pizzas like Philly cheesesteak, Cuban sandwich, taco, and even lasagna pizza, alongside new wing flavors for their “Dollar Wing Wednesdays.” Each one starts as a staff experiment, proof that at Broomelli Boys, ideas rise as fast as the dough.
Undeniable Freshness
Cheston talked about the Greek salad, and I am so glad he did. It’s Cassie’s absolute favorite! The feta comes in brined blocks they crumble themselves, and the Greek dressing is so authentic it’s shipped from Chicago (and can’t be ordered in winter because it freezes in transit!). I can see why Cassie likes it so much!
Between the interview and the energy in that kitchen (the outright teamwork and family feel), it’s easy to see why locals and travelers alike call this one of Brunswick’s best stops for a pie that feels like home. Whether you’re grabbing two slices and a salad for lunch or sitting down for a family dinner, Broomelli Boys Pizza serves more than just food, they serve a story that’s been rising for nearly two decades.
Be sure to follow them on your favorite social media platform as well to keep up on the excellent specials and events as well as some really mouth watering photography! Watch a full half hour interview with minds behind Broomelli Boys Pizzeria below.
